Performance psychology, forged in elite sport

Before the performance, there is a person.

Think 2 Win Performance works with athletes, executives and leaders who want to perform better. Not by becoming someone different, but by understanding themselves more clearly, developing the capacity to adapt, and closing the gap between what they are capable of and what they consistently produce.

Performance psychology

Not about removing pressure. About performing through it.

Performance psychology is not about eliminating pressure or engineering the perfect mindset. It is about developing the self-awareness, psychological habits and adaptability to perform consistently, whatever the environment demands.

We work with athletes, leaders and teams to close the gap between what people are capable of and what they actually produce.

The Think 2 Win Performance approach

Core. Focus. Fulfil.

Develop the person, and the performance follows. One journey, three layers: who you are, where you direct yourself, and performing as yourself.

Core
Who am I really?

Your default patterns and identity, and what really drives you beneath the surface.

Focus
Where do I direct myself?

Attention, the controllables, and the flexibility to adapt when things change.

Fulfil
Am I performing as myself?

Performing in line with your values, sustainably, and genuinely as yourself.

Services

Nothing off the shelf. Everything built around you.

Every engagement is bespoke. We never start with a framework and fit you into it, we start with you. Before any session or programme, we build a clear and honest picture of the person, team or organisation: where you are, what you are capable of, and what genuine progress looks like in your specific context. Then we tailor the work to exactly what you, and your team, need.

The service categories below describe the environments and disciplines we work across. The process that runs through all of them is consistent: understand, adapt, perform.

Sport into business

Forged in elite sport. Applied to business.

The psychology that steadies an athlete on the biggest day is the psychology that steadies a leader in the room. Everything here is forged where the margins are smallest and the pressure is real, in elite sport, and then brought into business. That crossover is the edge.

Good leaders are capable people. Great leaders understand themselves clearly, adapt effectively, and perform consistently, even when the conditions are not in their favour. Think 2 Win Performance works with executives and senior leaders to close that gap.

About Oliver

Fifteen years inside high performance

You are already capable. The question is whether you are performing consistently at the level you know you are capable of, and if not, what is actually getting in the way. That is where we start. Every Think 2 Win Performance engagement begins with understanding the person: how you think, how you respond under pressure, and what your defaults look like when the stakes are real. From that foundation we build the adaptability and consistency that turns capability into performance.

I have spent over 15 years working with elite athletes, World Champions, senior executives and leadership teams across sport and business. I competed and coached for the British Sailing Team. I know what high performance demands from a person because I have been inside those environments, not just observing them.

How it helps

Where performance psychology makes the difference

In sport, in business, and anywhere the gap between capability and output matters.

Confidence that deserts you

It is there in training, then goes missing on the day it counts.

Motivation that runs out

Drive that fades when the results, or the feeling, dip.

One setback that lingers

A knock, an injury or a bad result that drags down everything after it.

Nerves that cloud the moment

Doubt and noise arriving at exactly the wrong time.

Freezing when it matters

Knowing exactly what to do, and not doing it when the pressure rises.

Stuck in your own head

Overthinking, self-criticism, and the story you tell yourself after a mistake.

Between the sessions

The work also lives in an app

For those who want it, the same method is built into a guided app, so the work carries on between sessions, all year. Six programmes, written and voiced by an HCPC registered sport, performance and coaching psychologist.

  • Read, listen and do, with worksheets you keep, private to you
  • Two spaces: The Athlete Space and The Executive Space
  • For individuals, or licensed across a whole squad or team
